From the Long Island Expressway:
From Exit 62: Take Nichols Road north all the way to the end, passing under the LIRR and turning right onto 25A. Take 25A into Port Jefferson. At the second traffic light (the first flashing traffic light), take a right onto Route 112/25A/Main Street. Go 2 blocks and turn left onto East Main Street (across from Billie's). Go one-half block. Bear to the right past the Baptist church onto Prospect Street. The Mather House is the second house on the left.

From Exit 64: Take Route 112 north into Port Jefferson, crossing the LIRR tracks. Continue on Route 112, crossing North Country Road and down the hill into the village of Port Jefferson. Two blocks before the harbor, turn right onto East Main Street (across from Billie's). Go one-half block. Bear to the right past the Baptist church onto Prospect Street. The Mather House is the second house on the left.

From the West: Take 25A into Port Jefferson. At the second traffic light (the first flashing traffic light), turn right onto Route 112/25A/Main Street. Go 2 blocks and turn left onto East Main Street (across from Billie's). Go one-half block. Bear to the right past the Baptist church onto Prospect Street. The Mather House is the second house on the left.

From the East: Take 25A west to Port Jefferson Station. Turn right onto Route112; continue north crossing the LIRR tracks and North Country Road. Proceed down the hill into the village of Port Jefferson. Two blocks before the harbor turn right onto East Main Street (across from Billie's). Go one-half block. Bear to the right past the Baptist church onto Prospect Street. The Mather House is the second house on the left.
